In 2008 the Mirage Chair was born, it was designed by Jim Watters. Jim had an extensive background in the furniture industry and realized there was a need for a clear full size chair. The Goal was to make to make a unique high style chair with a timeless design that would fit any décor.This chair had to be the most comfortable and durable on the market. To insure the quality and consistency, these chairs being manufactured in the USA was a must. After many years in the furniture industry Jim saw countless furniture factories close and send work overseas. Most of the companies went to China, as a result consistency and quality usually suffered.It took extensive design work, including making clay models and fabricating parts before the final design was complete. Using computer modeling and several revisions It took an additional 6 months to produce the actual molding equipment.When the first chair finally came off the production line, it was everything Jim had hoped for. This new chair was made with highest quality materials( virgin unbreakable Bayer Makrolon), had the best clarity on the market and with it’s comfort-flex back and refined lines, is the most comfortable chair in it’s category. Mirage Chair was awarded a US Patent #D618006 and Trademark by the USPTO. We instantly had dedicated customers, many of them are still using the same chairs produced more than a decade ago, as well as adding more to their inventory.This is a testament to the durability of our chairs.Our acclaimed chair has been featured in fine hotels, retail stores, major magazines and used widely by event companies. The Mirage Chair was so highly regarded that its intellectual property has been infringed upon. The Mirage Chair production was interrupted for a time due to lawsuits regarding patent infringements. With a favorable legal outcome, production is now back online however, patent infringement is an ongoing problem in the furniture industry. The biggest offenders are usually Chinese companies. Mirage will continue to investigate violations and hold all parties that violate US Patent laws responsible for their actions. This will also apply to American companies that distribute these counterfeit chairs claiming to be Mirage.Now that we are back in full time production, we invite you to consider our chairs as well as new products we have in development.
